I’ve occasionally been on duty and had to call in a drunk driver or two, so it’s not entirely surprising that some fire or EMS crew would run into something more serious:  an armed robbery.  What impressed me about this story was not so much the actual event, as the writer’s ability to note that “it’s hard to be discreet in a fire truck.”

I only wish that regular drivers were as attentive to public safety vehicles around them.
