If someone doesn’t notice the lights of an emergency vehicle (which admittedly may not always be on), or the vehicle itself, I’m not entirely certain that adding a stop sign to said vehicle is going to help.  I suppose there’s no harm in adding one, though, and Toledo Fire Department has gone ahead and done so.  I confess that I get a chuckle out of it.

Of course, if they really wanted to be visible, we should talk about the wisdom of painting a vehicle medium-dark red instead of white or lime-yellow, but I don’t think anyone will ever be able to convince many FDs to depart from that tradition.
