There is an episode of G.I. Joe in which Cobra Commander tries to use a laser to engrave his face–well, mask–on the moon.  That’s all I could think of when I saw a website offering ads on the moon:  literally, your logo or message, inscribed across the moon, visible from Earth during quarter moons.

I figure this is probably some sort of thought experiment or publicity stunt, perhaps something to make people think about space–much like the “Arm the Homeless Coalition” some years ago.  It’s still entertaining either way.
